Frank Martens

Conductor and musical director

A 27 year veteran of the Canadian Forces in the music trade, Frank has performed on clarinet and conducted regional, national, and international events. Frank has been posted in Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Ottawa and has participated in many tattoos around the world. Frank has always had a keen interest in community bands and has conducted concert bands, stage bands and a 10 piece band as part of the Stittsville Legion Concert Band. Frank and his wife Mary retired to Stoney Creek, Ontario and in January of 2017 became the Director of Music for the Lincoln and Welland Association Band and in December of 2017 became the Conductor and Musical Director of the Lincoln and Welland Ambassadors Swing Band as well as the Niagara Falls Concert Band. In his spare time, Frank enjoys badminton, woodworking and playing the EWI.
